JOB OVERVIEW

Provides technical leadership and direction to database administration team members and associates. May provide management direction to database administration team members. Designs or modifies database designs to solve complex database processing problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.

Leads the architecture and development towards enhancements and changes for OneKey Loader programs, pushing data into OneKey Global instance.

Works ‘cross audit’, helping to produce and communicate impacts for not just OneKey US, but also with Global OneKey, Cegedim compliance audit and to legacy IMS audits (HCRS, RXU) as well as with the Client Service and Client Engagement teams. 

Sub-Family Description

Designs, analyzes, programs, debugs, and maintains system/web enhancements and/or new products.

Designs or modifies database designs and implementation processes to address existing and future needs and works to ensure databases meet required operational standards and performance levels.

Designs and implements data archival schemas; creates data definitions, database objects, security enforcement, and database optimizations; and participates in the administration, monitoring, tuning, and support of databases in the production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES

Essential Functions

Plans, conducts and coordinates the application of state-of-the-art database designs and implementation processes to existing and future needs.

Performs complex database analysis and database design tasks requiring advanced techniques on the forefront of technology.

Ensures that databases meet required operational standards and performance levels (as measured by reliability, response time, query execution time, etc.)

Prepares cost analyses and justification for difficult database systems

Acts as senior consultant for lower staff providing technical advice and consultation on database analysis and database design reviews and evaluates the capabilities of potential database design and implementation approaches as well as backup and recovery strategies

Activities include: denormalization, developing data archival schemes, sizing, creation of data definition language and database objects, referential integrity and security enforcement and application optimization.

Participates in the administration, monitoring, tuning and support of databases in the production environment.

Lead and support the decision-making process for Healthcare Organization, Professional and Affiliation data architectures.

Strong database query skills in multiple databases (SQL Server, Oracle).

Excellent problem solving, and risk analysis skills.

Effective organization, communication, team orientation, and leadership skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients across multiple countries / time zones.

As Subject Matter Expert of data systems, provides feedback/recommendations around change impact assessment.

Ability to Supervise 5-10 people, Staff in various areas of responsibility.

Experience

Typically requires 10 - 12 years of prior relevant experience.

3 – 5 years working experience specifically in relevant data sets and business application areas.

Eight (10) years of information technology experience.

Five (5) years experience in the database administration area.

Working experience with both HCRS and OneKey Data Structures.

Experience integrating data assets with applications including but not limited to Compliance, CRM, SFA, MDM.

Working Knowledge of IQVIA DDD, DDDMD and Xponent applications.

Experience/Knowledge with Cybermation Tool and PubSub (IQVIA Specific).

Change Management Processes.

Experience leading a team of developers.

Area of Specialization: System integration.

Area of Work Experience: Software development.

Knowledge

Requires deep knowledge of one or more related job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
