Our Project Services Department, within Global Central Laboratories division, acts as the primary interface between the Central Labs and the client, to effectively manage expectations and provide a quality service in relation to clinical laboratory testing.
The duties and responsibilities of our current opportunity includes -
  • Reviews protocols in conjunction with the Set-Up Manager and acts as a verification resource in the preparation of the Laboratory Specifications Document.  This document is a joint collaboration between Quintiles Laboratories and the Sponsor (and/or CRO) and defines the specification of services/materials required to conduct the analyses, and report the results, for a specific clinical trial.
  • Determines protocol-specific kit contents as well as designs blood collection kits, laboratory requisitions and reports.
  • Authors protocol-specific laboratory instruction manuals.
  • In conjunction with the Laboratory Director, defines the analytical the technical aspects required for each protocol (new testing methodologies, reference ranges etc.).
  • Co-ordinates, and presents, study specific materials and services at Investigator meetings.  Provides additional training (telephone training, attendance at CRA training meetings).
  • Involvement in project start-up in collaboration with the Set-Up Manager. 
  • Liaises with the appropriate sections of Quintiles Laboratories throughout the course the study to maximise adherence to the Laboratory Specifications Document.

Job Requirements

Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:
  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline. Advanced degree an advantage
  • Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritising skills
  • An ability to multitask on a daily basis is essential in addition to being proficient in standard IT software packages including Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in a customer serving environment is essential with previous Project Management experience desirable
  • Previous Pharmaceutical or related industry experience would be an advantage
