The position we are recruiting for sits within the consulting organization of IQVIA and provides expert advice to pharmaceutical clients looking to introduce new products to Canada and maintain the compliance status of products in-market.  The environment is fast-paced and undergoing the most significant changes in history.  This role requires a combination of scientific and mathematical analysis, strategic assessment and written/oral communication. The role includes project-based work involving effectively summarizing clinical trial results and disease-based literature, navigating the legislative context and clearly communicating results.  The role requires significant client interaction, project management, understanding the framework of legislation and contributing to the success of the team through documentation, process development and operational activities.

The successful candidate will be energetic, dedicated, smart, organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.  Support for literature searching, reference management and some editing is available.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Participate or lead teams in the design, development and delivery of client-focused pharmaceutical pricing projects
  • Perform qualitative and/or quantitative research and analyses to assist in the development of strategic recommendations to address client needs .
  • Recommend improvements and alternative solutions to deliver to and above client expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects, developing & tracking timelines and optimizing efficient use of available support resources to ensure on-time and profitable completion of projects as well as high client satisfaction.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure project objectives are understood and seek input and feedback as project progresses
  • Develop and provide training to internal and external clients regarding the regulatory environment for pharmaceutical pricing in Canada.
  • Participate in a cycle of continuous improvement of existing processes and documentation
  • Where possible, identify and elevate potential new business opportunities within and beyond team
  • Proactively develop broader and deeper knowledge of related consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and participation in training opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Solid project management experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as practiced client service and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Working knowledge of biostatistics

Assets

  • Training in systematic reviews, health technology assessment or related disciplines
  • An understanding of the basic concepts of health economics and the types of economic analyses
  • An understanding of the Canadian health care system, and knowledge of the decision-making processes for drugs and other health technologies at the federal, provincial, and territorial levels
