PURPOSE

The Associate Web Development Director will design, analyse, program, debug and maintain system/web enhancements for existing and new products.  Role requires hands-on proficiency in C++, Java and .net technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on complex issues where in-depth evaluation of variable factors is required.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (team lead functions).
  • Uses experience with a variety of network technologies to lead internal and external clients with Internet, Intranet, extranet based applications including C++, Java, XML, HTML, CGI, ASP, multimedia applications, databases, and data modeling tools.
  • Builds applications using Internet and Windows Development tools.
  • Provides written design documents, test plans and test results.
  • Manages, develops, integrates and implements related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration.  Plays a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of the applications.
  • Establishes and communicates standards to manage cost and ensure continuity of applications.
  • May work with outside vendors in developing tests to endure feature functionality.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • C#, .net, ASP.net, WebAPI
  • Familiarity with Azure, Service Fabric, Service bus, logic app, function app, relays, AppInsights
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and management to IT projects from conception to deployment
  • Proven ability to manage technical staff (10-12 resources) and guide them technically on solutions
  • Must drive delivery
  • Manage the tracking of project information – release, sprint, schedule, effort, metrics recorded in Jira


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of keyboard and mouse requiring repetitive motion of fingers and wrists
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
  • There is the potential for some travel (up to 15%)
