Overview:

The Project Operations and Business Performance (POBP) team is focused on driving strong business and financial performance across the Project Leadership portfolio. Areas of focus include analytics and performance reporting, financial and operational risk management, implementation of global processes, and subject matter expertise across a spectrum of finance / business performance areas. 

The POBP Team is comprised of highly talented and motivated individuals that are engaged in impactful efforts across a diverse number of areas and strategic initiatives. The teams are spread over several geographies and we are a seeking an Associate Director, Business Performance to join our team! 

Role is to provide input and leadership for ASC606 and EAC controls across all PL projects. PL projects have direct revenue of ~$600M and project revenues of ~$2BN. Role is to ensure consistent application of EAC guidance and principles and reduce revenue volatility observed impacting revenues across all functions and business lines.

Role is also required to demonstrate and document SOX controls for new EAC processes, as requested by finance VP.


Primary Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Sox Control owner for PL to liaise with finance, ops, PWC, and work with Functional EAC Leads to help establish autonomous SOX governance/control

Train and educate on EAC financials and modelling to PLs/PMA and other leads with key focus on;

  • Drive adoption of EAC mindset; PL as CEO, PMA as COO, PFM as CFO, and FLs as Ops heads
  • Ensure EACs are managed according to baselined hours
  • Integrate EAC Stabilization to reduce time and effort, and monthly fluctuations
  • Develop EAC compliance metrics for PLs and FLs
Implementation of R&DS Master Data Management for Role alignment
  • Creation and implementation of a Legacy Pricing Tool Converter to allow all projects to be Role aligned for phasing and resourcing
  • Create new time coding guidance based on Role alignment
  • Reduce waste in task details for time coding, pricing, budget processing, phasing, and more
  • Task to Role identification and mapping


Other tasks and responsibilities as directed by line manager and group including random, ad hoc analysis and support, as requested

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences, life sciences or related field and 10 years’ clinical research experience in the field including 6 years’ project management experience and experience in clinical operations; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
  • May require occasional travel.
