Functional responsibilities:

As an Associate Consultant, Statistics, you will provide expertise in statistical methodologies supporting standard and custom studies for the Commercial Effectiveness Services (CES), Health Access and Outcomes (HAO) and Technology and Solutions (TS) teams. Study types include, but are not limited to, segmentations, non-interventional outcome, burden of illness, cost effectiveness analysis, epidemiological, and predictive analytics.

Working with other team members you will:

  • Define data source, statistical design, and methodology,
  • Assist in the preparation of study protocols
    • Execute statistical analyses
    • Document study findings and interpret results
    • Present results to external clients as needed
    • Identify new opportunities for standard reports and for value-added analytics
  • Work on projects where independent judgment is used within generally defined procedures and practices

Statisticians are expected to work as part of a project team and to take responsibility for timely and high-quality delivery of defined tasks

Project management responsibilities

  • Independent implementation of study tasks
  • Prepare statistical reports to be reviewed by senior members of the Statistics team
  • Ensure quality in all statistical deliverables within project timelines
  • Assist with overall project management and client management

Internal initiatives

  • Initiate and participate in internal initiatives e.g. knowledge sharing
  • Support senior staff from CES/HAO/TS on specific business initiatives as required

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s, master's, or PhD degree or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Bio-informatics, or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with a bachelor’s or a minimum of one (1) years of experience with a Master’s. No work experience required with a PhD.
  • Technical knowledge/skills include: multivariate analysis, regression analysis, forecasting, data mining techniques (e.g. clustering, predictive analytics)
  • Knowledge of SAS programming language
  • Additional knowledge of SQL language, artificial intelligence methods and software, linear programming and market research methods, preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
