Analytics & Solutions Lead, Japan – the role
This hybrid role is a leadership role within the local analytics team, which will be building and directing a local team of data analysts, methodologists and/or programmers, to deliver custom studies and syndicated reports to support R&D Solutions business requirements in Japan.

The role also involves developing Japanese analytics solutions that address core challenges for clinical trial design and execution. Once designed, this role involves managing these analytics projects as an integral part of the study team. You will lead cross-functional teams in Japan in the delivery of complex analytics to support sales, trial design and delivery, and new analytics innovations. Specific applications include study design, site identification, and patient recruitment.

For global clinical studies, you will be responsible for delivering Japan specific analytics, based on the interpretation of the study protocol and your understanding of the Japanese healthcare & data landscape. For Japan-only clinical studies, your role will expand to being the key individual working with the sales and study teams to understand key challenges within a study, identifying and delivering the analytics that can help address these needs. You will be an integral member of the project team, providing the information necessary to support our client and business needs.

Your typical activities might include:

  • Leading the design of Japan-specific analytic studies in the context of a global trial or new offering development to enhance trial strategy, design and execution
  • Successfully build, manage, and cultivate country-level analytics team with varied analytic skillsets, healthcare system knowledge, and related expertise
  • Providing methodology leadership to Offerings development team to build out new capabilities leveraging data and analytic methodologists to address R&D business objectives based on local country data and methods
  • Collaboration with Global Solutions Managers and R&D Solutions business owners to build Japan analytics team capabilities that will develop and deliver studies leveraging country-level IQVIA™ data assets to support R&D Solutions needs
  • Designing and defining the delivery of key analytics leveraging real-world anonymous patient data as well as provider and institutional data to support end-to-end engagements.
  • Working with clinical operations teams to define requirements to support trial operational strategy for Japanese studies
  • Generating real-time creative solutions to address critical client challenges.
  • Developing project plans for analytics delivery that integrate into the project operational strategy, inclusive of timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Offering mentoring and coaching in a quickly growing team that is key to delivering differentiating solutions for IQVIA™ project teams.


Qualification:
Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience in healthcare analytics, consulting and project management
  • Experience of consulting preferably with a leading firm, with health and life sciences project experience
  • Strong leadership skills and people management experience required
  • Excels in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to deal with client scoping requests, and to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries Relevant analytics experience, such as data driven profiling, segmentation, and targeting experience and real-world data analytics
  • Proven relationship-building skills, and an active listener
  • Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written); Business English (spoken and written).
