The Team

IQVIA Real-World Insights (RWI) teams work with clients worldwide to help them use complex, clinically rich, patient-level healthcare datasets to answer their specific research questions, make more informed decisions, and deliver results. We are collaborative, intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, and constantly looking for opportunities to harness the value of Real-World Evidence (RWE) in a constantly evolving industry.

Specifically, you will be working in the RWI Enriched Studies Development Team. The RWI Enriched Studies Development Team is responsible for advancing the IQVIA capabilities to deliver Enriched Studies through targeted internal investment activities, client business development and oversight for study delivery. Enriched Studies integrate two methods of data collection (primary and secondary data) to build a comprehensive patient record and increase both the availability and depth of researchable data. Enriched Studies are innovative in nature and provide a number of benefits to our clients for supporting the growing need of novel approaches to late phase studies (please refer to attached materials in Enriched Studies for further information). Specifically, the content area of the team encompasses a broad range of activities related to Enriched Studies:

  • Geographic data source and technical assessments to support capability expansion.
  • Enhancing data management and analysis capabilities of both primary collected information and existing databases.
  • Proactive business development, including development of proposals.
  • Supporting multi-country study delivery.
  • Development of standard processes.
  • Thought leadership.
  • Budget tracking.


As an Analyst you will join a high profile, talented and fast paced team, actively participating and supporting the development and delivery of Enriched Studies. You must thrive in a collaborative environment where you can leverage globally extensive assets of IQVIA to accelerate new business growth, as well as in-depth expertise in areas such as observational research, epidemiology and data management.  You must provide high quality, on-time input to both client projects and development projects (non-client projects), which will consist of work-streams intended to further develop the Enriched Studies offering. Assignments range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to assisting in the development of more complex solutions working across geographies and business units. This will span across tasks that are technical, process-driven and scientific, working with teams across various countries. The successful candidate will be able to achieve professional development and learning from and being coached through formal process. You will also learn from working closely with senior leaders in the organization, as well as other team members leading the team’s business development and delivery efforts.

Principal Accountabilities

As an Analyst you will be working either on client projects and/or a development projects within multidisciplinary and international teams specifically created for each project. Your responsibilities will include:

Client engagement responsibilities:

  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses under supervision to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
  • Assisting in the development of detailed documentation and specifications.
  • Contributing to the preparation, execution and follow up of client meetings and workshops.
  • Conducting independent desk research to specific briefs using internal and external sources.
  • Taking responsibility for creating sections of reports, presentations and other client deliverables, under supervision.
  • Supporting the development of proposals.
  • Proactively developing a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies, observational research, and the life sciences market through the delivery of engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Acquiring deep knowledge of IQVIA data sources and the broader RWD landscape.

Development project responsibilities:

  • Interacting with external parties to understand novel technologies, the competitive landscape, and research methodologies.
  • Working closely with the senior business and scientific leaders to create innovative solutions for Enriched Studies.
  • Developing broader and deeper knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, healthcare technologies, Big Data and research methodologies (epidemiology, observational research) through on-the-job experience and training.
  • Flexibility in assignment to multiple work-stream projects and client studies.
  • Enforcing a working practice across geographies in the global IQVIA organization.

Desired Skills and Experience

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining as an Analyst will have:

  • Understanding of and interest in the international healthcare environment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills (additional languages is an advantage) including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.
  • Ability to support strategic decision making on study designs.
  • Proven ability to advance ambiguous or conceptual ideas into tangible and practical plans as part of offering and development.
  • Competency in using Word and PowerPoint and developing clear storylines.
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience of either observational research (including scientific/epidemiological and operational aspects) or consulting methodologies, tools and techniques is desirable, but not critical. 
  • A strong commitment to high quality work and an interest in rapid learning and skill development.
  • An ability to work autonomously.


In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining as an Analyst will have:

  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record in life sciences, economics/business/mathematics/statistics/computer science, and/or experience in the health care industry.
  • A postgraduate qualification in life sciences discipline is desirable although not essential.
