Job Description

Role Purpose:

Lead an Account Team to establish and implement account level strategies to maximize client satisfaction and achieve financial goals.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the activities of an account team to achieve/exceed the assigned revenue and growth objectives across a mix of large & mid-sized pharma accounts in Canada
     
  • Develop & implement an account level strategy to:
    • Manage large contract negotiations and execute strategy for renewal
    • Expand our business through development of new business opportunities across our business lines which include Commercial Effectiveness, Technology Solutions, Health Access & Outcomes
    • Develop & strengthen relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts to expand our penetration across key stakeholders
    • Drive collaboration across IQVIA business lines to expand client engagement with our SME’s
    • Manage the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
       
  • Coach, mentor, develop a team consisting of an Account Manager, Solution Specialist and Customer Support Manager to:
    • Execute a consultative approach to anticipate & meet client needs
    • Deliver outstanding account service
    • Achieve individual career goals

Minimum Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of nine (9) years relevant sales or account management experience.  Extensive knowledge of IMS offerings, customer account management and pharmaceutical industry. Successful track record in sales management role in motivating sales team to consistently achieve assigned revenue and growth goals

Organization Reporting and Scope:

  • Typically reports to:  VP, Sales
  • Management scope (number of full-time employees): 3-6     
  • Annual revenue scope (If applicable) $M: $15-30 and above

Additional Requirements: Problem solving, negotiation, planning, relationship building, presentation, and written and oral communication skills are essential. Ability to set vision and direction.  Ability to influence outcomes. Team-orientation.  Business Development; typically, 70% of annual revenue goal is contracted; 30% is new.
