Job Description

Title:  Manager, Contract Strategy & Analysis

Location: Parsippany, NJ

The purpose of the role is to support the contracting process across the IQVIA customer base.  This role requires strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and CRM systems, allowing the applicant to compile data on existing and perspective IQVIA business, with the goal of optimizing future customer agreements.

Ability to learn IQVIA’s products, services and business intelligence systems, and to work with IQVIA Account Teams to understand the business objectives, opportunities and risks. 

Ability to work across all IQVIA departments including Sales, Service, Sales Operations, Product Management, Finance, Legal, and Contract Management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Understand the functional strategy of the business unit, including annual business goals and objectives, as well as the market environment, and use that knowledge to optimize customer contracts, in order to achieve quarterly and annual business results.
  • Support the contract renewal process for large customers, including in-depth financial analysis, planning, workshop training, strategy, internal communications and contract generation.
  • Assist the Account Team in contract negotiations with the customer buyer team, as needed.
  • Drive results against key operating metrics such as contract growth, profitability and client satisfaction. 
  • Provide status reports and updates to the Executive Management Team on issues, as required.
  • Periodic travel within the US will be required.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel. 
  • Experience or ability to work with CRM systems.
  • Good critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple departments to compile and analyze financial and sales data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization and build remote relationships.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry or knowledge of supply chain management is a plus.

  • Reports to:  Director, Account Management
  • Annual revenue scope:  Directly and indirectly supports revenue of over $100M annually
