IQVIA is growing! We are currently recruiting a Senior Director position to focus on one of our key global accounts, within this high profile role you'll be the strategic business developer responsible for driving new revenue streams and building on the existing relationships we have established with this key client. Experience within a global, 'c-suite' level, clinical focused BD position will be key to your success as you increase the scope and demand for this critical business relationship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

R&D Sales

Building the R&D BD pipeline for this client will be your primary objective. To achieve this you will -

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive RDS sales plan (in coordination with Global Account Director).
  • Plan and coordinate all customer R&D sales activities
  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new R&D related business opportunities within the customers
  • Prepare and lead sales presentation
  • Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales strategies
  • Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer
  • Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained
  • Conduct RFP receipt/triage. Work with operations and functional managers to identify right sales team
  • Lead solutioning, strategy calls, proposal review and finalization for large R&D opportunities
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all R&D related IQVIA services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities

Key Account Management

Developing relationships with the client and within IQVIA will be crucial in developing new revenue streams, you'll achieve this by:

  • Working closely with the global account team members to ensure no gaps or overlaps supporting the client
  • Communicating all R&D account activity to Global Account Director and Senior Sales Leader and/or appropriate individuals
  • Driving/supporting strategic alignment with the customer
  • Maintaining high visibility within the customer organization
  • Working cross-functionally within IQVIA to ensure needs of customer are met
  • Utilizing the CRM to establish reports and dashboards to analyze business development, sales activities and to track progress
  • Educating team members in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale


Client Relationship Management

Within this role you will need to take a long term strategic approach to ensure success.

  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within the customer and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization
  • Actively network in the client to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities.
  • Pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
  • Establish brand recognition; communicate with client alliance lead(s) to assess overall level of customer satisfaction and progress of projects.
  • Drive Innovation Day presentations, facilitate engagement between our thought leaders and client stakeholders
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organization

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Relevant experience selling at global C-Suite level within the clinical space is essential
  • Proven track record at developing mid-level and high-level contacts
  • Deep understanding of the principles of drug development
  • Consultative selling skills and demonstrated strategic mindset with good ability to prioritize
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
  • Ability to influence others both internally and externally
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management and demonstrable relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
