Are you looking to utilize your excellent selling, negotiation, networking and business acumen skills? 

As a IQVIA Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for new business development efforts, build, and nurture executive-level relationships, and drive revenue growth by leveraging IQVIA’s full suite of offerings solutions to the Pharma Life Science industry in Portugal.

This role combines direct sales execution and collaboration cross-functionally with solution experts, service leaders, and delivery teams to craft innovative, client-centric solutions that address the evolving needs of your target Clients.

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Executive to join our Commercial team and play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities.

This individual should understand the Pharma industry and its commercial business challenges and should demonstrate a strong capability to hunt and drive white space sales initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be able of selling one or more of our core offerings, which include:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Seeking a hunter with a track record of sales successes in the Pharma industry, who understands the key priorities of the Pharma life scienceclient segment and manages – either indirectly, the activities of a multidisciplinary team to achieve or exceed the revenue and growth goals for the assigned target clients.
  • Drives new business in the predominantly Pharma Life science Market segment through direct sales contribution.
  • Grows revenue by leveraging the full IQVIA portfolio and identifies new business opportunities.
  • Drives the activities to ensure effective execution against client needs and IQVIA revenue targets. Work throughout multidisciplinary teams and cross functionally to build the solutions for the clients.
  • Develops strategy for expanding scope on target client base, and existing contracts, identifying new business and win-back opportunities.
  • Identifies, and leads the pursuit of the targeted new business and contract expansion opportunities within assigned accounts through prospecting and hunting.
  • As required, lead negotiations in renewing annual and multi-year contract(s) within assigned accounts.
  • Manages the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with product/service offering.
  • Ensure the involvement of IQVIA resources (marketing, Product specialists, consulting, and customer Experience) in actively promoting the full IQVIA portfolio of products and consulting services to anticipate and meet clients’ needs.
  • Develops and executes account plan(s) and monitors progress.
  • Adjusts plan accordingly to consider new IQVIA product/service offerings as well as significant changes to business conditions.
  • Train less experienced members of sales team on account management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, product manager roles, within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry , B2B account Management Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus)
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong understanding of specialty care areas (e.g., oncology, immunology, rare diseases) – (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Pharma procurement processes and decision-making structures
  • Understanding of the IQVIA portfolio or competing offerings (preferred).
