Job Description

IQVIA are looking for a Lead Medical Writer to join our Global Scientific Services - Medical and Scientific writing team. You will have the opportunity to develop and contribute to a range of offerings, including late phase / Real world studies related research manuscripts, health economics manuscripts/documents, review articles, white papers, medical affairs, market access, and patient support programs. Thanks to our unique position within IQVIA™, we collaborate across the globe and extend our support in diverse offerings and work with  multidisciplinary teams to develop new medical communications solutions to help move healthcare forward.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years publication and medical, promotional, and/or scientific writing experience within the pharma/ device industries and/or academia bringing in a combination of scientific knowledge, writing expertise, strategic insight and client-facing leadership. We value proactive thinkers who have the ability and desire to work in multifunctional teams to create innovative communications solutions. Based on candidate’s career aspirations and organization requirements, career growth of the candidate can be steered towards developing as a people leader or SME contributing to business expansion, team growth and supporting organization’s vision.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate complex clinical/medical information and real-world data into compelling material
  • Proven experience communicating with a variety of health care stakeholders through activities that may include medical affairs (scientific platform generation, publications, advisory boards, educational symposia, medical science liaison support, medical information), market access materials (global and country-level policy statements, value communications, and business cases), whitepapers (concepts), conference presentations, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous work in a variety of therapeutic areas together with sound experience with research tools and approaches, and good awareness of current industry code of practice guidelines and their implications
  • Knowledge of healthcare/communications business objectives, services and operating procedures
  • Strong computer skills, including MS office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Ability to oversee team outputs, ensuring quality, compliance, appropriateness and profitability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, clients and suppliers

Qualification:

Master’s degree or PhD( Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Public Health,  health economics), MBBS/BDS

Familiarity with Good publication Practices (e.g., ICMJE), editorial and publishing standards preferred. CMP certification is considered as an added advantage.
