The Sr. Security Architect (Cloud & IAM) role will be a technical member of the global security architecture function, which is one of the key pillars within the IQVIA Chief Information Security Office (CISO). This role will be responsible for providing guidance and technical direction and strategy on IQVIA’s information security feature set.  This is a high impact role that may interact with a wide variety of stakeholders across IQVIA. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributing to develop security architecture, frameworks, design patterns, standards, reference architectures and best practices on designated security domains.
  • Designing, building and implementing enterprise-class security systems for a production environment
  • Providing security consulting to new or existing enterprise systems, identifying security gaps and recommending tactical and strategical changes or enhancements.
  • Staying current with security technologies, predicting impact of technology changes, identifying gaps in existing security solution and recommending viable enhancements.
  • Proposing and architecting new security solutions, by participating technology selection, conducting PoC
  • May partner with compliance, regulatory or other functions to ensure incorporation of security considerations across business unit application teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ year experience in Security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles and emerging technologies - Designing and implementing security solutions. This includes continuous monitoring and making improvements to those solutions, working with an information security team.
  • Expert level experience in designing and implementing Identity and access management (IAM) solutions
  • Solid background with Linux, Windows OS and network security.
    Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS (Network and Host level), vulnerability assessment tools, DLP, Wireless IDS/IPS, sniffers, TCP/IP protocol stack and the OSI layer, content management and filtering systems, VPN, application white listing, password management/vaults, log management and correlation, and device/application hardening requirements
  • Experience in designing security solutions across disparate cloud technologies, accounts, services, and landscapes. 
  • Essential software development skills in Java/J2EE, .NET, API/web services, scripting languages, a relational database management system (RDBMS) , and NoSQL to build security systems, or integrate security into applications.
  • Working knowledge of AWS tools including: VPCs, security groups, EC2, Route53, IAM, KMS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Shield, WAF, etc.
  • Working knowledge with DevOps toolset and automation
  • Familiar with agile and lean software development methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programs and technology projects.
  • Experience in software security architecture and design, with the ability to produce design artifacts clearly articulating intended security and solution design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be highly collaborative with cross function teams, with the ability to explain technical topics to those without a technical background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, is preferred.
