This means leveraging data to give visibility of business performance and pipeline health, building operational tools, managing business change, evaluating sales representative performance and incentives, and using analytics to understand the customer and drive up-sell and market growth.

Overview of the Role
As our Sr Analysts, Commercial Operations, you will support the Global Technology Solutions organization's short- to mid-term business priorities by delivering ad-hoc analyses and developing new reports to enable effective decision-making. Your analyses and insights into our commercial performance will contribute to key improvements in our ability to operate an effective business.


An ideal candidate for this role will have a solid combination of interpersonal skills, technical skills, an analytical mindset, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person has a can do attitude who can work to support demanding and very senior stakeholders.

This is a highly analytical role utilizing a variety of data sources to produce regular reporting for a variety of audiences including operational business reviews for the highest levels of the business.  This role requires someone who can innovate with ways to better operationalize data and utilize off-shore teams to deliver quicker, more regular reporting.

Principal Accountabilities
• Pipeline Insight - Analyze CRM data from Salesforce to give visibility of opportunities in the pipeline, highlight risks to quarterly targets, and analyze sales performance
• Ad Hoc Analysis - Interrogate revenue and margin cubes to respond quickly to ad hoc requests from senior management to drive effective decision making
• Data Quality Management - Identify data integrity issues and manage them appropriately in the short-term, then engage with technical teams to ensure long-term resolution
• Report Development - Conceptualize and build new reports as per management's needs, and own mid-term delivery, then engage with technical teams to productionize
• Go-to-Market Support - Extract data from source systems and integrate it with off-line data, managing anomalies, to support GTM activities such as customer segmentation
• Business Change Readiness - Provide data integration and commercial operations support for new Product/Company Acquisitions or other significant events

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a similar role with transferable experience (financial, business, or operations analysis).

Specific experience should include:
• Data Management : Extensive experience of working with different sets of raw data to consolidate, cleanse and transform them into fit-for-purpose sources of insight
• Data Analysis : Demonstrable experience of interrogating data and presenting it in a way that clearly answers business questions and drives actionable insight with careful reconciliation to ensure accuracy
• Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of engaging across different levels of an organization to gather requirements and set stakeholder expectations
• Problem Solving : Ability to resolve micro-level development issues whilst considering macro-level implications e.g. impact to exam question or business strategy

Technical Experience

•       Extensive experience of using MS Excel to analyze and present data

•       In-depth knowledge of leveraging MS Access to manage data

•       Knowledge of Salesforce for data extraction and analysis

•       Experience of using Hyperion Essbase to interrogate data

•       Ability to use VBA to enhance functionality and automate tasks

As we move to automate some of our reporting products, experience with the following would also be a huge plus:

•       PowerBI

•       Oracle OBIEE

Skills
• Strong attention to detail especially when dealing with large datasets from disparate sources
• Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders, or escalate as appropriate
• Solution oriented, and able to keep focus on answering the question at hand in the face of imperfect/unavailable information
• Innovative thinker, applying knowledge of the data to not only answer the question posed, but to think bigger about how to add additional value to your stakeholders
• Thoughtful Communicator with the wherewithal to tailor messaging to various audiences (financial, business, technical stakeholders)
