Job Summary and Responsibilities:

Delivers profitability and recognition for the organization by selling and providing services to customers utilizing organization tools, techniques, and intellectual capital to assist the healthcare industry by bettering processes, implementing new technologies; and accruing new technical capabilities to meet pharmaceutical and medical demands.

Manages employees across multiple job areas and/or sub-families. Establishes goals and objectives for team(s) as well as tracking and delivering on operational/financial performance.

Participates in the broader family's planning process; establishes long-mid range goals and plans; and coordinates activities with other managers and their respective sub-families.

Director Medical Sales operations to ensure projects are appropriately resourced and employees are trained and developed to meet both customer and company goals.  Develop and implement overall strategy for business unit or region and ensure operational alignment with senior management priorities.  Initiate and lead strategic initiatives and work with other functional management to develop implementation plans.

  • Manage staff and managers in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.
  • Direct the hiring and selection process for Medical Sales staff by conducting candidate review through participation in the interviewing process.  Establish methods to develop and evaluate office / region based on boarding processes.
  • Develop standard processes to ensure that staff has the proper materials, systems access and training to complete job responsibilities.  Oversee the execution of the training plan and mentored training experiences for a region / office / country.  Act as a coach and mentor for managers. Work collaboratively with customers and other functional leadership to manage customer related challenges to achieve exemplary customer service.
  • Develop effective pricing and delivery strategies in order to deliver customer requirements in a profitable manner
  • Work with senior colleagues to identify, develop and implement strategic initiatives and new products for the IQVIA service portfolio
  • Meet with customers, deliver presentations, initiate the preparation of proposals, communicate proposals to customers and negotiate with customers to achieve a successful outcome
  • Liaise with appropriate company support functions to achieve new business targets and operational delivery
  • Ensure achievement of customer satisfaction targets and key performance indicators for projects and team
  • Work with Business Development to strengthen relationships with existing clients and generate awareness on prospects
  • Project a professional impression of the Company and act in accordance with the relevant Pharmaceutical Industry’s Code of Practice

Requirements & Experience Details:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; Advanced degree preferred
  • 10 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales industry
  • Sales leadership experience required
  • Leading teams focused on developing efficient and effective operational processes and technology solutions
  • Expertise working with Pharmaceutical Sales Data, such as IQVIA data
  • Evaluating and implementing technology to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, MS Project and/or Visio
  • Vendor management
