Role Purpose:

  • Under guidance, tracks and audits revenue by calculating price quotes, recording contract revenue and preparing revenue reports.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate sales contracts
    • Ensure that the contract complies with IQVIA standard invoicing and payment terms and conditions
    • Ensure that the contract complies with the accounting rules that allow revenue to be recognized
    • Determine what products are being sold / delivered
    • Determine the proper amount of revenue to be recognized for each product throughout the life of the contract
  • Enter the sales contract information into the SAP financial system
    • Recognize revenue in the proper periods
    • Generate customer invoices in SAP
  • Interact with sales teams and operations support groups
    • To clarify contract terms when necessary
    • To request additional supporting documentation that may be required in order to process the contract
    • To understand the contract deliverables
    • To understand any future contract changes that may take place

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting with 4 years experience in general/ revenue accounting, contract administration or billing.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • General knowledge of IQVIA products a plus. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions/recommendations to solve problems.
  • Strong organization skills
