Role: Resource Manager UK&I, Real World Evidence (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

Position Purpose

The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, moving at the pace of our clients’ needs, the RM will be expected to understand the sense of urgency that is synonymous with the business. The pressure is high to resolve resourcing demands quickly, find creative solutions and make autonomous decisions.   The role reports into RWAS Resource Management, based in London.

Principal Accountabilities:

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Manage allocation of client facing staff to client projects, business development opportunities, thought leadership and internal initiatives; resolving conflicts and escalating issues when necessary
  • Develop strong relationships across the wider resource management community (UK and International); sharing resources across practices where appropriate to optimise overall productivity and realisation
  • Engage with the engagement managers and principals to understand, plan for and ultimately meet the resource demands of their pipeline, ensuring that profitability is kept at the forefront of decisions
  • Promote and maximise off-shore groups to leverage capability and profitability on engagements
  • Develop a deep understanding of the development goals of the delivery team and leverage that knowledge to make effective resource management decisions
  • Monitor and communicate current and near-term delivery capacity
  • Maintain resource management data integrity within systems
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness to monitor and drive compliance
  • Support HR with performance management biannual process
  • On-board new joiners to introduce resource management processes
  • Appropriately escalate conflicts and unresolvable issues to leadership team for their support

Education, Skills, Experience, & Specialised Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Prior resource management experience preferably within a professional service environment
  • Proven problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships and influence with key stakeholders
  • Excellent team-based interpersonal skills with ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to demonstrate determination, diplomacy and resilience
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate multiple types of information from a variety of sources for effective decision making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of life science is a plus
