We are excited to announce that at this time we are looking for Regional Directors to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives, managers and directors making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The Regional Director will be responsible for regional leadership, strategic direction, strategic execution and deployment of sales strategy in the attainment of assigned sales goals.

Regional Director

The Regional Director will coach and manage 10 District Managers in the development and delivery of the sales strategy and be responsible for ensuring strategy execution and associated metrics. They will serve as a key information holder regarding the marketplace and thus, be able to react appropriately to that market as needed.  They will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations as agreed to with the client.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute the national sales strategy as set by the client and agreed to by IQVIA
  • Responsible for deriving and managing sales targets at the District level and the associated incentive compensation programs
  • Develop and implement area business plan that aligns with and supports the national product strategy; provide monthly reports to the client (VP Sales)
  • Build a best in class area sales organization consisting of District sales managers and field representatives and act as the primary link between the District Manager and National Sales Director for all operational and human resource/personnel needs relating to the sales force
  • Ensure team is meeting training goals, including developing rapidly into subject matter experts and effective business planners
  • Develop and execute up to two regional meetings per year that align with and pull through the national product strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with their respective regional KOLs
  • Motivate team to utilize all promotional materials and programs at their disposal, and monitor to ensure effective deployment of these tactics
  • Promote strong collaboration across the sales organization, for effective and efficient coverage of territories
  • Identify opportunities in the market place, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies to cross-functional partners and members of IQVIA/client Leadership Team.
  • Manage implementation of all promotional activities and promotional budgets to support sales and marketing strategies, in accordance with IQVIA’s promotional policies.
  • Knowledge of market access, managed markets and reimbursement
  • Develop and sustain an environment consistent with IQVIA’s culture and reflective of our client’s aspirations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulation, IQVIA policies (including IQVIA expense policy) and enforce company regulatory guidelines.
  • Coach team members individually to perform as a high functioning unit.
  • Develop area succession plan to ensure that appropriate talent is in place to achieve long-term business goals and support the growth of the corporation.
  • Responsible for taking appropriate corrective action for District Managers or sales representatives when observing and/or reviewing sales and sampling practices that are not accordance with IQVIA’s expectations, polices, or procedures.
  • Monitor regional time keeping and attendance

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree required
  • 8+ years pharmaceutical sales experience required
  • 2+ years’ experience and a proven track record as a District Manager in the pharmaceutical market is preferred
  • 2+ Years’ experience as a Regional Director is required
  • Experience in ADHD market highly preferred                    
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire and coach District Managers to success
  • Proven ability to display district leadership, performance management & Career planning
  • Strong work ethic and customer focus orientation
