PURPOSE: This role is an ideal stepping-stone for current college students who wants to gain experience in project, portfolio management, and organizational behavior.                                                                     

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Intern will support the execution of the Project and Portfolio Management improvements in the areas of communication plan, monitoring compliance, and reporting. The additional support will help speed up the delivery of the improvements with better quality.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in meetings.
  • Document meeting notes and follow-up actions from meetings.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Undertake on project tasks on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure all stakeholders have filled out biweekly status report. Inform them when the report is not completed.
  • Create and finalize project status reports.
  • Track project status and update all systems with latest project status.
  • Identify risks and report them to team early.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business with a mix of IT or related fields
  • Creative problem solver & not afraid to challenge the norm
  • Good time management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals and groups at various levels of leadership
  • A self-starter with strong sense of self-motivation
  • An organized team player who can manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to proactively work with many virtual teams around the world
  • Interest and exposure to Business and IT organization
