Our goal is to ensure any patient dataset can be accurately, reliably and reproducibly converted to a standard format (OMOP) to enable researchers and pharmaceutical companies to run observational studies, and thus find out what works and what doesn’t in healthcare.

You will be the product owner in the OMOP Factory team, translating high-level business requirements into user stories and co-owning product roadmap as part of the product management team. You will work with individual scrum teams to make the product vision a reality and in doing so, shape the future of real-world patient data. What to expect

In this role, you will:

  • Co-own (with the product director) the OMOP Factory product roadmap, including functionality, UI/UX and data visualizations
  • Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories that the development team can execute against, writing “Given / When / Then” scenarios to aid a BDD approach
  • Work with the product director to prioritize stories in the team backlog
  • Review test plans and verify they map back to requirements
  • Act as the go-to enabler for the development team, supporting / acting as scrum master as needed
  • Write release notes
  • Support software implementations, acting as a product expert for users and monitoring user requirements
  • Support the sales process, eg, with demos and roadmap visibility

Our ideal candidate will be/have;

  • Strong experience in software product management/ownership
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Strong project management skills
  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivery
  • Ability to demonstrate / talk about software to audiences of mixed technical abilities
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points for;

  • Experience in life sciences / healthcare sector
  • University degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience of working in an international market, across different cultures and time zones
  • Experience with data products or data standards

Location and travel

  • This role is based in IQVIA’s Brighton office, where the development team is located
  • Minimal travel expected to other IQVIA offices (London, East Coast US), to attend conferences or visit customers
