IQVIA is seeking an experienced Nurse with up to date registration to work with patients within Cardiology.  This role requires flexibility, particularly working some extended days with potential occasional overnight stays.

Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure clinical expertise in Cardiology
Ensure clinical competence to deliver programme objectives e.g. set up & management of heart failure clinics and recall systems, conducting clinical audit where required
Ensure honorary contract signed in each hospital- following local procedure and ensuring all permissions have been signed off before commencing clinics.
Assist cardiac nurses & lead consultant to establish heart failure clinics, to review and educate patients with a focus on the following: review patients ensuring they are optimally managed in terms of current guidance
Be competent in monitoring ECG, Weight, BP and referrals for cardiac echo etc, and work within hospital protocols to ensure these are completed for each patient as required.
Have an understanding and working knowledge of HSE in particular the cardiology environment
Report adverse events as per local company policy.
Work according to the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct and IPHA Guidelines for Nurse Adviser programmes.
Comply with Data Protection Act of 1998/9, GDPR, Caldicott Principles and common law duties with respect to confidentiality

• Nurses with current registration and ideally at least 2 years post reg experience in the disease area
• Higher diploma in Cardiology Nursing/Coronary care nursing/Management of heart failure clinics
• Appropriate expertise in the specialty and demonstration of advanced clinical practice.
• Evidence of continual professional development
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to work autonomously and confidently
• Evidence of working in a position of responsibility
• Flexible, professional approach
• Computer literate
• Eligibility to work full time in the ROI
• Current full EU driving licence (no more than 6 pts.)
