BASIC FUNCTIONS:                 

Manages the Investigator Payments team, including the review of site invoices and calculation of patient payments using IQVIA Biotech’s standard systems and processes.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties will include the following:

  • Manages group of Investigator Payments Analysts and Specialists
  • Develops and maintains department SOPs and working processes
  • Works with technical department (SAS, Bios, DM) to review specifications for investigator payment reports to ensure all appropriate data and criteria are captured within the report programming.
  • Liaises with technical departments on changes to projects that affect investigator payment report programming.
  • Trains department staff on all systems required for job function
  • Reviews AR aging report, following up with Sponsors when receipt of funds is overdue
  • Oversees Sunshine Act Reporting
  • Works cross departmentally with other groups, such as site contracts, to ensure close communications throughout the payment process
  • Leads and oversees integration of new departmental systems and software
  • Represents Investigator Payments department in client kick-off meetings for newly awarded studies where applicable
  • Oversees proposal review and development activities related to Investigator Payments
  • Assists in business development activities related to Investigator Payments
  • Reviews project activity with Investigator Payments team to maintain a basic understanding of all Investigator Payment studies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential personnel matters effectively
  • Ability to perform responsibilities independently and with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong presentation skills (both internal and client facing)
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Perform tasks with special attention to detail

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA STANDARDS

  • Very little physical effort required to perform normal job duties

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

  • Four years CRO or clinical research experience; or, BS in Clinical Research or equivalent degree
  • Two years hands on experience in the accounting field and/or line management experience
  • Investigator/Site Payment experience in a CRO environment
