The implementation lead helps to communicate the Big Data Factory (BDF) 2.0 core component capabilities and how they integrate to form an end to end solution to production users and Directors. They work closely with each BDF implementation to ensure the expected deployment pattern is being followed, to offer practical support in user testing and to feedback any functionality gaps detected from a specific Country or asset.

As a group the implementation leads share best practice and any local developments that are seen with the aim or deciding which of these should form part of the BDF core or can be reused across other deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have a full understanding of how all the BDF components in the BDF 2.0 architecture fit together and the expected pattern of deployment.

• Create appropriate communication to explain the BDF 2.0 architecture to stakeholders with various levels of expertise including production users, Directors and regional Technical Architects.

• Create, pool and where necessary execute test cases against new deployments with a particular focus on data content testing.

• Populate and deliver to key stakeholders an impact analysis of any data trend breaks caused by the move to BDF.

• Populate and deliver to key stakeholders an assessment of the benefits of BDF focussing on DAP gains, Quality enhancements and delivered or potential operations cost savings.

Required Skills

• Experience with data content testing and manging stakeholder expectations with large scale migration projects.

• Excellent communicator who is able to tailor communication to reflect different audience needs and understanding specifically bridging the gap between highly technical developers and less technical end users.

• Highly organised and able to translate user needs into milestones and ruthless in tracking scope and avoiding scope creep.

• Experience working on a process driven project with tools such as BPMN, WS02, Camunda or smiliar

• Ability to decompose complex processes into a set of sub processes or business rules.

• Comfortable querying data using SQL from Hadoop distribution

• Comfortable with Microstratgy including icube build

• Familiarity with Cloudera distribution software and tools

• Must have experience working on open source development projects, use of Git and CI processes

• Experience with Selenium an advantage            

• Experience working with the Elastic stack and in particular Kibana an advantage"
