Engagement Manager

San Francisco, CA or Plymouth Meeting, PA


The Engagement Manager will work directly with the founding Solution + Innovation team, leading the integration and innovation of data, analytics, and technologies within Commercial Services and partnering entities (including Advanced Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Center of Excellences, Consulting Services, and Global Business Units).

Responsibilities include the following:

  • For Solution + Innovation initiatives, manage the project management execution of the entire product life-cycle roadmap across stakeholders within the U.S. RBU, especially Commercial Services  
  • Provide hands-on, end-to-end, day-to-day coordination, quality assurance, and process oversight during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases of initiatives
  • Support rollout of Center of Excellence offering development process.  Includes communication of process, compliance with milestones and deliverables, completion of documentation/templates, stakeholder feedback, process evolution, etc.
  • Support the design and rollout of product management structure to oversee new offerings
  • Upon product management rollout, potentially begin fulfilling role of product manager
  • Work closely with product owners and teams to ensure proper strategy, plan, alignment, and visibility
  • Proactively collaborative with cross-functional teams in matrix environment to streamline processes, drive efficiencies to scale, establish proper expectations, and manage feedback loop
  • Present and drive ideas to evolve strategy, operations, and execution
  • Influence direction and balance of competing priorities within team and across stakeholders
  • Schedule and prepare for effective and successful meetings
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to track milestones, deliverables, timelines and statuses
  • Own, support, and communicate progress and content against the roadmap and associated KPIs to senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and, when appropriate, customers
  • Manage, track and report on initiatives to ensure on-time, high-quality success and desired outcomes (e.g., develop and update steering committee meeting presentations, status reports, dashboards, etc.)
  • Develop and grow high-value organizational relationships across all levels, ensuring enough face-time and routine communication
  • Track resource allocation and utilization, costs, and other KPIs
  • Prepare and organize pre-sales activities, including RFPs and presentations
  • Proactively identify and manage project risk, resolve issues and escalate
  • Address initiative, offering, and project obstacles
  • Support data, analytical, and technical deliverables and implementations (as needed, internally or with clients)

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of related experience – including consulting, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry experience, product management, and technical project management
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills, stakeholder management and influence across functions and levels, and strong relationship building skills
  • Ideal candidate will understand one or more of the following: patient data analytics, brand optimization, multichannel marketing, primary market research, market sizing, source of business and market tracking, adherence and patient pathways, market segmentation, and targeting

Additional Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and analytic offerings
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals, and works effectively in a matrix environment
  • Experience with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills
  • Possesses the necessary subject matter expertise and project management skills able to effectively manage projects across more than one practice area
