About the role

IQVIA is Hiring!

We are recruiting a Corporate Development Manager based in London to manage IQVIA’s merger and acquisition (M&A) activities across EMEA, ASIAPAC and Japan.

This is an excellent opportunity to transition into a M&A role within a rapidly growing business, as a principal decision maker.  As the Corporate Development Manager, you will gain hands-on experience executing large numbers of M&A deals.  This role will be crucial to our growth plans in 2020 and beyond.

Within this role you will:

  • Manage IQVIA M&A efforts through pipeline evaluation, modelling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing activities;
  • Build and refine complex financial models for company valuation purposes;
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses for a range of strategic and M&A initiatives;
  • Analyse and interpret financial statements and clearly convey conclusions and insights;
  • Perform market research, develop strategic initiatives and build business cases;
  • Work with IQVIA senior executives and colleagues, target company management teams and external advisors on a regular basis;
  • Oversee and maintain deal pipeline, track market M&A activity, prepare internal updates, and create deal review presentations for CFO, CEO and BOD;
  • Participate in due diligence efforts, including coordinating with internal and external teams;
  • Assist in closing activities;
  • Liaises with other departments and business units in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner.

Experience Required

  • We are looking for someone with 3+ years’ working experience, ideally already familiar with M&A and finance, for example, investment banking analyst, a comparable corporate development role involving detailed knowledge of financial modelling and valuation;
  • Prior experience and understanding relating to the pharmaceutical, healthcare and information industries is a plus (though not necessary);
  • This is an autonomous role requiring an independent thinker who can handle multiple projects under pressure and focus on execution of tasks;
  • Strategic problem-solving and decision making;
  • Strong analytical skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills;
  • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  • This position will offer the right candidate with the chance to work with an experienced team of professionals who are willing to offer increasing levels of responsibility based on performance.
