Job Description

The Business Analyst is key role in the development of SmartSolve and plays a key analytical role throughout the software development lifecycle, including: detailed requirements analysis and the development of use cases and tasks for said requirements.  This includes documenting user processes, aiding in user acceptance testing and working closely with product managers, engineering, sales, marketing, training, documentation, training, services, and support to ensure successful product deliveries and customer satisfaction through the realization of customer requirements.

Additionally, the Business Analyst will work with product management and product marketing peers to aid in the evaluation of product features based on input from the market, customers, industry, competitors, and internal personnel. In addition to the establishment of the overall use cases based on current product feature lists and documented product requirements, and then communicate those use cases to engineering.  Business Analysts will liaison with regulatory experts to ensure all regulatory requirements are planned and met.  They will understand the needs of specific vertical markets (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Blood Services), horizontal markets (high end, mid-market, low end users), and they shall have knowledge of QMS. 
 

Principle Duties

  • Generate use cases for product features and enhancements
  • Liaise between Product Management and other requirement input sources and engineering to refine requirements, and estimate work effort
  • Contribute to product design; technical and functional
  • Work in an Agile Development environment
  • Adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Support the management of the product roadmap and release schedule
  • Aid in the development and execution of organizational knowledge transfers
  • Participate in solution launch activities
  • Participate in Product Advisory Board activities
     

Minimal Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
     

Minimum Skill and Experience Requirements

  • 1-5+ years Business Analyst experience with commercial software application and/or technology companies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, subject matter experts, regulatory professionals and customers
  • Ability to work in cross-functional, interdepartmental teams
  • Possess the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Hands-on results oriented operating style
  • Strives for continuous learning and development
     

Optimal Skills

  • Pragmatic Marketing or equivalent industry certification
  • Experience with Quality Management software and /or Life Sciences
  • Enterprise Software experience
  • Experience with GXP regulations
  • Agile Certification
  • International Business Experience
