Business Development Lead, Genomics


The role

IQVIA’s E360 Genomics platform enables life science customers immediate access to aggregated data at scale to conduct a wide range of research including association studies of genomics and observable traits, comparative efficacy and safety trials, and burden-of-illness and discovery analytics using non-identified data in a secure environment that protects patients’ privacy. IQVIA’s patented techniques allow for the removal of phenotypic, identifying information from genomic data while retaining the critical linkage of clinical and genomics data to improve research and healthcare delivery. The result is a more flexible and less expensive approach for scientific inquiry into human biology, drug discovery, and drug development.

In this role, you will;

  • Drive sales & business development across the offering genomics offerings
  • Work with global sales leads to segment clients and build out a genomics GTM plan that can evolve and develop
  • Map the genomics white space within clients and successfully partner with our genomics team to engage relevant buyers and influencers within firms
  • Partner with Global Account Directors to understand and engage relevant C-suite and budget holders
  • Personally lead key strategic and/or large opportunities that are critical to achieving global plan and financial goals
  • Build awareness within global sales community of genomic offerings and act as GTM champion for genomics
  • Create sales playbook & develop sales messages / differentiators for genomic Subset
  • Develop / evolve strategy to identify and engage non-traditional “buyers” (i.e government / public health)
  • Work with offerings teams to provide input to develop and adapt solutions
  • Partner with SME’s to build and create thought leadership material.

Our ideal candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in with relevant experience in the health industry, including;

  • Proven Sales / BD experience

  • Excellent understanding of financial principles, profitability measures and pricing strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior level execs both internally and at customer organizations

  • Ability to work independently and engage stakeholders across organization both internally and externally

  • Fluency in English and excellent oral presentation and writing skills

  • Expect up to 40% travel depending on proximity to client base - we have opportunities in Europe & US locations.
