Associate Director, Solution Sales - CESE

The Regional Business Unit (RBU) Lead for Global Market Insights will be responsible for leading, facilitating and supporting with all Global Market Insights activity for CESE.  Working closely with the country teams, leadership and RBU Senior Leaders, this role will lead the teams to develop new, and manage and expand, existing business within the region, support in large engagements, input into the planning and forecasting process as well as managing and developing the team to success, including performance management, mentoring and coaching, target setting and review, training, succession planning and recruitment.

The Global Market Insights business of IQVIA provides our clients with the gold standard pharmaceutical data and analytics services enriching our customers with deep insights into the performance of the global pharmaceutical industry. Companies ranging from the world’s largest Pharmaceutical companies through to SMEs, Financial & Legal and Academic Institutions rely on our expertise around data and insights in their everyday business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on a clear sales plan, aligned to country, to achieve the objectives for GMI for CESE
  • Achieves growth & revenue targets for total RBU sales
  • Run cadence calls with each country in RBU and understand risks and opportunities to plan for achieving overall
  • Support the RBU with monthly forecasting and annual planning cycles
  • Client Solution creation and alignment in region and globally
  • Direct involvement in large contract renewals and negotiations as required
  • Managing the teams both directly and indirectly and leading performance management, development and learning discussions with direct reports
  • Coach and mentor other sales professionals across GMI sales organisation
  • Set, manage and monitor individual sales targets across region
  • Supporting countries with any recruitment processes
  • Works closely with country Sales leads, GMs and President within region to ensure open communication and alignment
  • Reporting on an ongoing basis on the above to Sales Director and for corporate reporting such as Functional Reviews
  • As necessary, identifies and manages resources to develop proposals that position IQVIA capabilities & solutions to customers
  • Gathers market and client intelligence and provides strategic feedback to Marketing, Consulting, Service, and Sales to strengthen or product offerings and capture additional business

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Strong sales and account management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of sales growth & target achievement
  • Strong examples of consultative sales approach solving client business issues
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Possesses knowledge of key marketplace issues for the pharmaceutical industry and related businesses
  • Solid knowledge of one or more IQVIA specialty products and the impact that the product can achieve when implemented within a client’s business processes. 
  • Individual must be a superior and successful sales person
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency, and can work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must have successful experience identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Be results driven
  • Developing positive relationships at all levels of client management and within the IQVIA sales, consulting and marketing teams


  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Management and leadership experience
