The IQVIA Content Management team creates its HTML5 applications for all platforms, with mobile targets being tablets more than phones. This role’s primary responsibilities are to oversee multiple development teams and ensure the successful delivery of product releases.  Elements for success include a strong background in mentoring and providing leadership to a growing development staff, providing strong project management skills that result in meeting or beating timelines and standards of quality. 

The area of responsibility for this role is wide and requires thorough knowledge of various processes. The ideal candidate must be able to plan many kinds of operational activities. They must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to lead the team. 

Ideal candidates will be comfortable with all the following activities: 

•    Will be responsible for growing and expanding the team, responsible to interact with HRD team and other engineering teams across the organization.  
•    The position is part of the Executive Leadership team and will collaborate with defining company strategy and lead implementation initiatives. Your duties will include ensuring that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.  
•    This role’s primary responsibilities are to oversee multiple disciplinary, QA and Operations teams and ensure the successful delivery of product releases. Elements for success include a strong background in mentoring and providing leadership to a growing development staff, providing strong project management skills that result in meeting or beating timelines, meeting or exceeding standards of quality. 
•    The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. They must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. 
•    The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success. 

Requirements: – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – for Business Unit Manager 

•    Solid experience with diverse business functions and principles 
•    Good practical knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics 
•    Ability to maintain organizational focus on key business performance drivers and direct the implementation of processes or procedures as needed. 
•    Ability to balance competing priorities effectively and meet critical deadlines. 
•    Working experience with MS Office and various business software (functional knowledge) 
•    Creative Thinking - Should possess the ability to develop and create new ideas, systems and relationships for the success of the company.  
•    Decision making skills: They should have the ability to analyze information and evaluate results in order to make the best decision in solving problems 
•    Planning skills: The manager should have the ability to develop specific plans and goals to help in accomplishing tasks efficiently 
•    Ability to tackle complaints and resolve disputes and conflicts 
•    Motivating skills: The business unit manager should be able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation 
•    Strong organizational and leadership abilities 
•    Strong communication and people skills 
•    Ability to identify new opportunities and exploit them to the benefit of the company. 
•    Good knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines 
•    Help HR team shortlist the new hires and backfills by creating new hire forms for and follow up with approvals from Finance Department. 

Successful candidates will have: 

Overall Experience -15 to 20 years in IT, B.E / BS degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunication, Computer Engineering or MCA or equivalent degree experience. Master’s Degree or MBA / PMP is a Plus. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
