ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

The Information Security Architect - Cloud and Network is a technical member of the Global Security Architecture function, which is one of the key pillars within the IQVIA Chief Information Security Office (CISO).

This role is responsible for providing guidance and technical direction and strategy on IQVIA’s information security feature set.  This role may interact with a wide variety of stakeholders within the company. 

  • Contributing to develop frameworks, design patterns, standards and procedures, reference architectures, based on best practices across all security domains.
  • Developing and implementing secure cloud strategy and being subject matter expert for end-to-end cloud security architecture, including systems, networking, storage, databases.
  • Designing security services and capabilities that run on platforms including public and hybrid cloud.
  • Reviewing and evaluating network security technologies; advising/developing security requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, Wireless (WIFI) and other related network security components.
  • Staying current with security technologies, analyzing impact of technology changes, identifying gaps in existing security controls and recommending viable enhancements.
  • Participating in new technology selection, Proof of Concept projects, implementation of new security controls.
  • Partner with compliance, regulatory or other functions to provide technical security and risk consulting across multiple business units and teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years Information Security experience.
  • Knowledge of information security concepts and best practices, as well as ability to apply these concepts into the business.
  • Experience in security architecture and design, with deep knowledge on cloud architecture and security, network security, and API security.
  • 3+ years experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, architecting broad set of security solutions
  • Technical knowledge of network security - including firewalls, Intrusions Detection/Prevention, APT detection, RADIUS etc.
  • Sound knowledge of cryptography and key management
  • Familiarity with security in DevOps CI/CD tooling, experience with deployment orchestration/automation, and security configuration management preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate candidate security technology via rapid prototyping / proof-of-concepts
  • Understanding of risk and risk management.
  • Self-starter, highly collaborative, ability to communicate across multiple functional teams with experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences
  • Ability to produce design artifacts/documentation clearly articulating intended security design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem identification and solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA preferred.
  • Good command of English required.
