The Data Stewardship Director position will be responsible for the advancement of IQVIA’s organizational capability in leveraging master data as a strategic asset. This role will have the responsibility to ensure that IQVIA is operating at scale and driving customer engagement with appropriate information management, processes and policies that ensure efficient and accurate data setup and management.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Subject Matter Expert in all data stewardship topics including: metadata management, hierarchies, reference data management and others
  • Leading the Global development / enhancement of Data Stewardship operating model, that includes structuring, building and leading a team of ~14 business data stewards
  • Understanding of overall business and end-user data needs, driving continual evaluation of data assets against business needs
  • Leading cross-business groups, global, regional and domain stewardship agenda and escalations
  • Developing data-enabled strategies for ownership and consumerization of data, enabling insights & analytics to drive desired business outcomes
  • Providing oversight, ensuring stakeholder collaboration, and facilitating decisions regarding critical data subject areas
  • Providing key inputs into prioritization, sequencing, and investments against a multiyear roadmap for enhancing data ownership, quality and data asset consumerization
  • Developing and enhancing relationships with senior stakeholders, actively manage their expectations and monitor satisfaction levels
  • Leading and communicating across business stakeholders to promote data ownership and and accountability while driving towards improvement in data quality consumerization of data and analytics
  • Provide leadership while working with IT and business partners in evaluating technologies, and recommending master data tools and platforms

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Requires broad management knowledge to lead teams, as well as the ability to influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, procedures, and goals
  • 8 Years of demonstrated experience in metadata management, Finance or Business Operations experience
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication/relationship building skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
