IQVIA’s Amundsen Consulting practice is looking for a technical administrator to manage access and standard operating procedures for all consulting network resources, including network drives, SQL servers, intranet site, and data request ticketing system. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities that include spearheading data investigations and testing as well as methodology development.

Responsibilities

Technical Administration

  • Network Drive Administration            
    • Define user groups
    • Create new project folders
    • Grant/revoke access to folders as necessary
    • Run monthly audit to make sure SOPs are being followed
    • Administer “methodology archive,” ensuring that it is updated (slide templates, code, best practices)
  • SQL Server Management
    • Monitor storage space usage
    • Act as liaison between consultants and DBA to generate database archiving lists, create backup schedules, etc.
    • Manage database access and ensure SOPs are being followed
  • Manage Consulting Intranet site
    • Make sure content is up-to-date and organized properly
    • Troubleshoot server issues
    • Grant/revoke access
  • Assist with provisioning Consulting Data Requests
    • Manage ticketing account
    • Help with setting up new project databases and extracting & loading data
    • Manage and monitor Consulting Data Investigations
      • Act as liaison between consulting and development teams to ensure data investigations are being worked on
  • Administer data investigation process
    • Provide a point of contact for Consultants with data issues
    • Collect information on data issues and route them to the development team
    • Track issues through the resolution process
    • Circulate information, findings, and actions between appropriate groups
    • Ensure timely and effective follow-through

Growth Opportunities

  • Develop, Maintain, and Manage Methodology
    • Update existing starter code with new datasets
    • Test new starter code before release
    • Define standard operating procedures for most popular datasets
  • Develop, Maintain, and Manage Best Practices
    • Dataset documentation (procurement forms, processing methodology, capture, etc.)
    • Understanding of fact and dimension table relationships (which table, when?)
  • In addition to Tracking, Support Data Investigations Analytically
    • Look into suspicious data patterns
    • Leverage knowledge of data processing methodology and sources to find issues or explain phenomena
  • Support Business Development Requests
    • Run basic queries for quick, time sensitive data pulls
    • Leverage standard methods to conduct analyses

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Queries and optimization
  • knowledge in file share administration and permissions
    management
  • Proven ability to develop and manage processes
  • Must work out of Cambridge, MA office
  • 0 – 2 years of related work experience
  • Organized and efficient
  • Energetic and excited for challenges (growth-minded)
  • Able to comprehend managed markets basics and apply to data context
